Our featured bead store this month is River City Beads

The seed for RCB were planted in the fall of 2005 when Jeude Rooks decided to add her creative skills to the art of making jewelry. Having no experience in this art form she learned mostly by trial and error but quickly discovered her knack for making beautiful pieces under the name Jeude's Originals. She attended any class that she could find and studied at William Holland Lapidary School in Georgia.

Constantly needing supplies to continue her work, she was a frequent visitor to the local bead shops and often made trips to Orlando where she found a supplier for her beads, findings and other components. Becoming friends with the owner of the shop, he suggested that a full line bead store was needed in the Jacksonville Area. After some research Jeude and her husband agreed and River City Beads was born. They decided that they would build a business around the need of designers and the casual beader, offering superb service and an inventory that would satisfy their requirements at reasonable prices. A top priority would be teaching beginners the art form and offering classes to enhance the skills of the many designers and beaders in North Florida.
