Treasure Trove Jewelry
by Sara Hardin

Okay ladies, this just in, I am seeing a ton of what I am calling Treasure Trove Jewelry. It is jewelry that mixes and matches lots of different items to create a really unique design. Almost every bead is an individual. Nothing is symmetrical. This type of design is limitless. You can use any color, any medium and any size. The necklaces are typically long and have multiple strands. The beads are connected by using eye pins or wire wrapping. Treasure Trove jewelry is fun, creative and flirty. From Bebe to Forever 21, it is the latest and hottest trend. I can't even count how many of these designs caught my eye in the February issue of InStyle Magazine.

I don't know about you, but I have a ton of leftover beads from my many projects over the years. A small handful of red vintage German Glass from a memory wire bracelet, a Nancy Pilgrim ladybug missing an eye that never found a home, half a tube of olive green delicas from when I decided that I had to have an olive green peyote stitch bracelet, 3 chevrons, an orange and black Venetian blown glass bead….you get the idea. Now is the time to take all of those random items and put them together. Find a large bead, and crochet over the top of it with a completely different color of thread. Take the antique necklace that you have been meaning to "fix" for 3 or 4 years and use the pieces in conjunction with some of the beads that you have lying around. The idea is to take what everyone else would deem as "junk" and show them that you have been saving these little treasures just for this occasion.

The only things that you might not have lying around are the supplies to assemble the perfect set of Treasure Trove Jewelry. Don't worry; we have eye pins, head pins, Artistic Wire, clasps, etc. Dress it up or gain continuity by choosing a single color in our squaredelle line with a matching toggle. Randomly add sqauredelles throughout the design as a spacer. Or, dress up your favorite bead with bead caps to make it stand out more then the rest. Use my discount coupon code-ARAS and receive $10 off of an over $50 order placed in the next month!

So, take out those beads that have been a lost cause, cluttering up your beading box, and put them in a design that will make all of your lady friends jealous.
