Keep it Simple!
by Sara Hardin
In a season full of bold colors and busy patterns, your jewelry probably doesn’t need to be the focal point of your outfit. Jewelry is considered an accessory (a supplementary item) for a reason and is supposed to accentuate and match the needs of your outfit.
So, what is simple?
I think that a strand of pearls on your neck or wrist is the trademark of simple and elegant.
I have a fairly large quartz crystal bracelet that I love to wear when I want something simple.
There is something that is very crisp and clean about clear quartz.
And of course, what could be more simple then a single strand of “simple cut” stones? I love the randomness of this cut.
So what is the moral of the story this month?
Sometimes less is more. Choose your accessories wisely and adapt your jewelry to fit each season’s trends. If the season brings flashy clothing, it might be suitable to tame the jewelry down a bit. If the season brings all white, tan and cream clothing, it may be time to add bright colors in your purse and jewelry selection. Match the needs of the outfit!
