Our featured bead store for this month is Beads n' More Design Studio & Gallery
Beads n' More Design Studio & Gallery is one of the oldest little shops in Historic downtown Silverton, Oregon. This year Verdene McGuire, current owner/manager since November 2006, will be celebrating the Gallery's 10th year in business in recently deemed "One of the Coolest towns in the USA"
Beads n' More Design Studio & Gallery is quick to provide individual customer service, on a first name basis.
Our Mission Statement being:
Beads n' More Design Studio & Gallery strives to provide a friendly, helpful, personalized experience for all who enter and partake in the quality products and services we have to offer.
We work on greeting each customer and helping them as much as possible with finding the right bead size and color, that perfect finding or charm and always eager to share technique, or how to use the newest products available. We offer free basic wire jewelry making classes and this month in August will add a free Right Angle weaving class on Monday evenings also.
Verdene graciously participates on a monthly basis in community service projects and charity fundraisers donating time, resources and gift items to many local organizations and school projects. Verdene believes that "your community is strong as the people that work in it"
Beads n' More Design Studio & Gallery carries a wide variety of Natural Stones, Czech fire polish, German vintage glass beads, Swarovski crystals, trade beads bugle beads along with local lamp work beads, shell, wood beads and blown glass pendants.
With our recently reorganization of the shop we have moved all of the beads and beading products into the front of the shop. Opening up the front window for a bright and airy look, and moved several display cabinets into the rear of the shop that is now a beautiful Artist Gift Gallery.
Our Gallery grand opening was July 3rd & 4th and we are very excited and proud to display for sale hand made beaded and wire jewelry, poster art, purses, and pottery by seven local artists and much more for the individuals looking for that unique Made in Oregon gift.
Beads n' More Design Studio will have it's website up and going by fall, with monthly information about classes, and opportunities to purchase gifts, supply items and project kits with instructions.
Beads n' More Design Studio & Gallery is located at 206 Oak Street, Silverton, Oregon, a block west of Main Street, and across the street from The Palace Theatre. We are currently open Mondays thru Saturday from 10 am till 6 pm, Sundays from noon till 4pm.
