The best way to get Fire Line through a needle is by flattening it. Flatten the Fire Line with flat nose or round nose pliers or press the end with your thumb nail & index finger, and pull.

The best tool we've found to help stop fraying is a pair of Inexpensive child's Fiskars scissors & or embroidery scissors - slices through like butter.
