Instructions:

  1. Open up newspapers to cover the work surface. You will need one newspaper opened for each color of glitter. NOTE: The placement lines on the patterns are guidelines only.
  2. Placing The Tape: Use your ruler to guide the placement of the tape. To place the tape, peel up about 1 inch of tape and lightly place the tape in position as shown on the stocking pattern. Unroll the tape above the stocking and holding the tape above the stocking, position the tape where you want it to be placed. Carefully lower the tape to the stocking surface and make sure the placement is pleasing to you.

  3. If you are happy with the placement, firmly rub the tape into place on the stocking. Rub the tape a second time to insure that it is securely placed and there are no edges that are not adhered. Cut tape with non-stick scissors if you have them.

  4. Sprinkling The Glitter:Place the stocking on the newspaper. Remove the upper liner from the tape about to be colored. Open the glitter container and begin to sprinkle the glitter over the exposed tape. Gently tilt and shimmy the stocking to distribute the glitter over the tape. Use your finger to rub the glitter onto the tape and gently, but firmly press the glitter onto the tape.

  5. Carefully turn the stocking over and tap the back side to cause the excess glitter to fall off onto the newspaper. You may need to use your finger to dust off any excess glitter caught on the surface of the stocking.

  6. Color 1 -Silver: Place 1/2 " wide tape as shown on the pattern in Figure 1.
