Use Flush Cutters to cut 3 feet of Soft Touch Wire and put a knot on the end, following the knotting instructions. Anchor the knot in the corner seam of the pillow and needle through the pillow stuffing to bring the needle out about 3 inches from the upper left corner and down about 2 inches from the top seam.
TIP: Be sure to drop your needle frequently to allow any twist to work its way out of the stringing material. Also do not stretch the wire, to avoid kinks.
Stitch through the top hole of the abalone bead and insert the needle down into the pillow below the bead hole. Guide the tip of the needle under the pillow fabric and come up just below the second hole of the bead.
Stitch through the bead and insert the needle down into the pillow just below the bead hole.
Needle through the pillow under the surface and come up where you want to position the next bead. Attach this bead, positioning on a different angle from the first bead, following Steps 2 and 3.
Continue adding beads varying the density and angle of the beads. Refer to the project photo for bead positioning.
TIP: To end a thread, take several small stitches in the seam of the pillow, then finish with a knot as described above.
