Soft Flex Company presents Flex Your Creativity Beading Contest

Soft Flex Company is looking for Steampunk designs using our beading wire.

Are you not sure what Steampunk means? Check out Jean Campbell’s latest book Steampunk Style Jewelry for inspiration. From Steampunk Style Jewelry, “Steampunk jewelry pairs mechanical found objects with Old World Victorian-style filigree, charms, chains, gems, and beads to create one-of-a-kind pieces that marry romance, technology, and attitude.”

As we move toward becoming a greener company, we encourage recycling – even in your jewelry designs. Design entries must include exposed beading wire. All beading wire must be one of our Soft Flex Company brands – Soft Flex, Soft Touch, Extreme, Metallics or Econoflex. You may use any color or diameter in your design. There is no limit to the number of designs that you may enter. We encourage you to feature beads and findings from your local bead shop as well as create your beads and findings from found materials – clock parts, gears, washers, screws, bolts, bottle caps etc. Lampworkers, recycled glass from bottles, made into parts and components are encouraged too. Flex your creativity! If you use beads or findings from your local bead shop, let us know who they are when you submit your design so that we can credit them too!

Details:

To enter: Submit a photograph of your design along with your completed Beading Contest Submission Packet. If you use beads or findings from your local bead shop, let us know who they are so that we can credit them too.
All entries must be received by September 1, 2010.

We recommend shipping your entry via a shipping method with delivery confirmation since Soft Flex® Company is not able to confirm receipt. Any boxes or packaging materials received will become the property of Soft Flex® Company.

Design notes: Multiple designs may be submitted. Resolution must be at least 300 dpi. Please photograph the entire piece, including clasp or closure if applicable. Please do not submit your design photographed on a person. Additional detail shots are permitted. Pictures and/or CDs become the property of Soft Flex® Company; do not send the actual jewelry design unless requested. See photography tips.

Previous and current employees of Soft Flex® Company are not eligible to enter.

Winners are named on December 1st, 2010.
