Chip Off the Ol' Nugget

Instructions for Strand #1:

  1. Cut 22 inch piece of pink .019 wire
  2. Put crimp on, then clasp, string back through crimp, using crimping instructions.
  3. Start with a pebble then a chip, repeat 13 times.
  4. Add a nugget.
  5. Add a chip then a pebble, three times.
  6. Add 1 1/4 inches of chips.
  7. Add pebble then a chip, three times.
  8. Add a nugget- this will be the center of the necklace.
  9. Add a chip then a pebble, three times.
  10. Add 1 1/4 inch of pebbles.
  11. Add a pebble then a chip, three times.
  12. Add a nugget.
  13. Add a chip then a pebble, approximately 13 times- you will need to make this side even with the other. Because these gemstones are not always the same size, the number of pebbles, chips on this side might vary from the other side.

  15. Cover both crimps with crimp covers using round hole of crimping pliers to compress.

Strand #2:

  1. Cut 20 inches of Pink wire.
  2. Add crimp, then clasp, string back through crimp, and secure using crimping instructions.
  3. Add 5 inches of chips.
  4. Add one pebble then 3/4 inch of chips. Repeat 6 more times.
  5. Add 5 inches of chips.
  6. Add crimp, 5mm soldered jump ring, string back through crimp. Secure
  7. Cover both the crimps with crimp covers, compress.

Strand #3:

  1. Cut 24 inches .019 Pink Wire.
  2. Add crimp, clasp, string back through crimp. Secure using crimping instructions
  3. Add 6 - 6 1/4 of chips.
  4. Add one nugget, then 4 chips. Repeat 9 times.
  5. Add 6 - 6 1/4 of chips- to match the other side of necklace.
  6. Add crimp, clasp, string back through crimp. Secure.
  7. Cover the crimps with crimp covers, compress.
