Materials:
- Soft Touch™ Very Fine .010 Diameter Wire – 1 spool
- 3mm Czech Fire Polish Beads – at least 30 beads depending on the size of the lampshade
- 1mm x 1 mm Sterling Silver Crimp Tubes – 2 Crimp Tubes (1pkg)
- Extra Small Slices Assorted Hand Blown Furnace Beads - 1 oz
- Fabric lampshade
Tools:
- Italian Flush Cutter
- #10 The Embellishment & Beadwork Needle
- 2mm x 2mm Silver Plated Brass Crimp Beads - 100 Ct
- Micro Crimping Pliers
- Ruler or Measuring Tape
- Pencil
Instructions:
- Beginning at a seam on the underside of the lampshade, begin measuring around the bottom, making a very light pencil mark at one inch intervals. Go all the way around the lampshade.
- Use Flush Cutters to cut 36 inches of .010 diameter, Very Fine Soft Flex Wire. Use Micro Crimping Pliers to secure 1 crimp bead on one end of the wire. Thread a needle onto the other end of the wire. Stitch through the very bottom edge of the lampshade at one of the pencil marks.
TIP: Be sure to drop your needle frequently to allow any twist to work its way out of the stringing material. Also do not stretch the wire, to avoid kinks.
- Use the needle to string 1 furnace glass bead, one 3mm bead, and 1 furnace glass bead. Pass back through the 3mm bead and furnace glass bead. Stitch through the fabric on the bottom of the lampshade just next to the first stitch. Gently tug the Soft Flex wire so it is snug, but not tight. Place the lampshade on the base to check that the dangle will hang properly.

- Insert the needle through the next pencil mark and pull the thread from the first dangle so it is snug. String 1 furnace glass bead, one 3mm bead, 1 furnace glass bead, one 3mm bead, and 1 furnace glass bead. Pass back through the last 3mm bead and the other beads on this dangle. Stitch through the bottom of the lampshade. Gently tug the Soft Flex wire so it is snug, but not tight. Place the lampshade on the base to check that the dangle will hang properly.

- Repeat Steps 3 and 4 around the the bottom of the lampshade. As you end the last dangle and stitch through the lampshade base, remove the needle, string 1 crimp bead and secure it using Micro Crimping pliers. Trim off excess Soft Flex Wire at the crimp.
TIP: If you need additional wire to stitch around the lampshade, end the wire with a crimp bead after stitching through the lampshade and start a new wire as you did in Step 2.
