4th of July Sparklers Napkin Ring Set

Materials:

• 20 Gauge Non-Tarnish Silver Soft Flex® Craft Wire- about 46 inches
• 6mm Blackened Finish Austrian Crystal Squaredelles - 24 Squaredelles
• 6mm Blackened Finish Austrian Sapphire Squaredelles - 24 Squaredelles
• 6mm Blackened Finish Austrian Siam Ruby Squaredelles - 24 Squaredelles
• 3mm Clear Fire Polished Beads - 96 beads

Tools:

• Soft Flex® Professional Round Nose Pliers
• Soft Flex® Professional Chain Nose Pliers
• Nylon Jaw Pliers
• Italian Flush Cutter
• Ruler
• Paper towel tube

Instructions:

1. Use Flush Cutters to cut 22 inches of Soft Flex Craft Wirefrom the spool. Put a slight bend in the wire at 4" from one end. Place the bend on the top of the paper towel tube and wrap the wire around the tube three times, so there are three wraps on the back of the tube. Anchor the wraps by crossing the loose end of the wire with the other end right against the tube (refer to Fig 1 below).

2. Use Flush Cutters to cut two 6 inch lengths of wire. Use the round nose pliers to bend one length in half. Insert one end of the wire under the center of the wrapped wire on the tube and cross the ends of the bent wire and bend them down across the first wire to create a cross. Repeat with the second wire, to create a star (refer to Fig 2 to position the wires). Slide the wire off of the paper tube.

3. Use one of the wire spokes to string two 3mm clear Fire Polished Beads, one 6mm Blackened Finish Sapphire Austrian Squaredelle, one 6mm Blackened Finish Austrian Crystal Squaredelle, one 6mm Blackened Finish Austrian Siam Ruby Squaredelle, and two 3mm clear Fire Polished Beads.
4. Grip the end of the wire with the round nose pliers and rotate the pliers to bend the wire end around the end of the pliers. Remove the round nose pliers and grip the bent wire with the tips of the chain nose pliers. Rotate the chain nose pliers to begin forming a flat spiral (See photo at the top of the page).
5. When the flat spiral is at the base of the last 3mm clear Fire Polished Bead, use the chain nose pliers to bend the spiral back one quarter turn (See photo at the top of the page).
6. Repeat Steps 4 and 5 with remaining five wires.
7. Repeat as needed for quantity of napkin holders desired.
8. Slip in a red, white or blue napkin and enjoy!
