Over a hundred years ago, Victoria Ward and her husband Curtis Perry Ward, shared a unique business partnership and created an estate extending from Thomas Square to the shore. Their former home, "Old Plantation", is now the site of Blaisdell Concert Hall. When Curtis died in 1882, Victoria Ward and her daughters carried on the family business which continues to influence Honolulu's commercial and retail development to this day. The Ward Center is the home to many retail stores, restaurants and hosted events, such as ours. The Ward Center is located across from the famous Ala Moana Beach Park and Kewalo Boat Harbor - two miles from Waikiki and one mile from Downtown Honolulu. Getting around this 4-block destination of unique shops and restaurants is an easy stroll – just 10 minutes from end to end. The Ward Center has traditionally been home to The Best Bead Show and we are glad it is now the home of the Soft Flex Company Glass Art & Bead Festival in Hawaii.
